Need Screws for Anodizing Racking

Q. Does anyone have a good source for titanium or aluminum screws that can be used to rack parts in Anodizing Type II and Type III. Right now I'm using machine shops but prices are high since that is not their main line of business.

We usually get 1" long screws, one side is standard 1/4-20 and the other side is whatever we need for the parts.

If you are referring to a 1/4-20 Ti screw (or larger as appropriate)that is turned down to a 4-40, 6-32, 8-32, etc, we always used a machine shop the same as you. I'm not aware of anyone who sells them as an OTS item.

If you had significant quantities, you might get better pricing using a screw machine shop and make them from all-thread.
