Where to find polypropylene anode bag for platinum anode
Good day every one
We are going to do iridium electroplating that needs a 0.5 mm thick polypropylene cloth bag for a platinum anode.
The plating temperature is 85 C. The anode, as mentioned, is a platinum net (or mesh) where its dimensions are 2 cm x 2 cm with a thickness of about 10 microns.
Could you kindly tell me what are the companies that sell polypropylene cloth bags (0.5 mm thick)?
Thank you

Hi, Omar.
As I understand it, the purpose of anode bags is to contain any fines from the dissolution of the anode so they do not deposit on the work piece. So I am not actually understanding why you need anode bags for what sounds like a non-consumable anode.
But you may be able to get anode bags from Technic. If not, find a plating process distributor in a nearby large city; all plating proces distributors will have anode bags. Good luck.
