Burnt paint stripes on upper surface of white gas stove

I have a white gas stove and wanted to mend some scratches on the upper surface.
I used the wrong Touch-Up paint (which does not resist heat) and now, the stove looks awful, with many stripes of burnt Touch-Up paint.

At this moment, I would prefer to paint the whole upper cover of the stove with porcelain high-heat black paint. This way the horrible stripes will disappear forever.

I will thank you if you recommend me some product that I could use for that purpose.

I have to go to Canada in the next weeks, so I could buy it there and bring it with me, to my latin-american country of residence.

Hi, Iris.

You can try a high temperature black paint like stove paint. You probably can't bring pressurized spray cans back with you even in checked luggage, but you can get stove paint this on eBay or Amazon [affil links] .

Porcelain is not paint; it is more like glass and is melted onto metal at extreme temperatures.

I will buy the wood stove black paint and the brush.

Does it have a brilliant finishing?
Do you recommend a specific brand for that paint?

Is it required to sand the surface before painting it?

Thank you very much

Hi, Iris. There are many brands but this site does not recommend specific brands or post recommendations of specific brands ( huh? why?). Sorry. Browsing the internet for colored stove paints I see some that look fairly shiny. Porcelain is glass-like and should probably be sanded to give some tooth before painting.
