Hard Coat Thickness of .03"

How do you get .03 Hard Coat build up on 6061 Mat?

Hi, Ben. Please give us some context. Do you have a competitor's part you can't duplicate? Do you have a spec for this thickness"? Did someone in your shop accidentally achieve it?

The Mil spec is .002" and I think there is a misplaced decimal in your question. You must mean .003", which is achievable with proprietary additives in the "type 2-1/2" baths. In fact, letter 1353 claims that .006" to .008" is achievable in that way on certain components. Good luck.

Ben

What is your unit of measure? If it is mm, most anodizers would be able to achieve .03 (.0012")
