BRASS AND ALUMINIUM POLISHING IDEAS REQUIRED
Q. Brass and aluminium polishing techniques?
We are having problems in polishing brass to high gloss buff finish, small parts we are able to do to very high perfection, but when the area is around 4 inches and above we have severe problems.
Can anybody suggest some better methods of polishing it?

A. Dear Mumtaz,
There are many techniques to brass buffing. I suggest Ronuks rouge soap with a careful selection of mop and above all skilled and experienced labour.

A. There are different ways & different methods for polishing metals parts. Achieving a real gloss finish is not difficult if you select best compounds (luster bars) & best suitable wheels for the job. Everything depends on the type of metal, thickness, size, etc.
I suggest you that try using German Brass Polishing Bar (Menzerna Werk.) it will give you the desired effect. try using with 6" 'G' quality wheel. if you are still not satisfied then use same company's No. 58 bar with flannel wheel of 6x60.

I have seen your mail regarding suggestion for Aluminium & Brass Component Polishing.
Please note that the undersigned has more than decade of experience in this line. I have recently started buff manufacturing unit and also agent for Menzerna, Germany.
I suggest you to use Menzerna 113GZW and later P126 which will give perfect gloss. With 113GZW use hard buff and with P126 use flannel buff with air flow.

Q. I read 'P126' in most suggestions for polishing / buffing the metal plates.
I want to know what is P126 & the suppliers of P126.
Kindly guide me.

A. Hi Mahesh. P126 is not a specification or a standard, it's just a trade name owned by Menzerna for one of their grades of polishing bars. Good luck.
