Specs - thickness and saltspray for copper, nickel, chrome plating on ABS exterior automotive part

I am developing an exterior auto accessory of ABS that will be copper, nickel, chrome plated. What is an acceptable OEM level spec for plating thickness and salt spray testing?
Thank you for any input.

Dear Mr Roberts,

There is a GM spec to this effect, it requires the total plating thickness to be above 15 microns and pass 48 hours of CASS testing. Sorry I can't remember the std number

Please try very hard to find the book "Standards & Guidelines for Electroplated Plastics", Zeeshan. It's more than 150 pages, and I don't know how to properly answer your question in less :-)

But a whole series of proprietary chemicals are normally used and no one will be able to give you the composition of proprietary chemicals -- only where you can buy them from. Good luck.
