Radar absorbtion of Anodized Aluminum
Q. A contractor of ours is seeking to anodize an aluminum commodity, in lieu of the required chemical conversion/prime/paint system. The question of radar absorption came up. I was wondering if anyone has any info comparing the radar absorption characteristics of anodized (only) vs. painted aluminum components?
Thanks,

Q. Hi,
I work in property management and I have been assigned to find radar paint to help with a current project because of its ability to reflect light. My understanding is that it is not made anymore. I am wondering if you know of any places to buy it or any alternative paints that would work?
thanks,

A. The government limits its distribution -- too many stealth buildings evading property taxes, speeding tickets, and of course, stealth skyscrapers create air traffic hazards.
Radar paint contains ferrite to absorb microwave radiation. Are you interested in reflecting visible light, emitting heat as IR radiation, or what? Lots of paints exist -- please define the need.
