Electroplating plastic
I wanted to try to electroplating plastic. All the paper work I can find is to electroplating metals. Could anyone offer any help on this? A protocol?
Anything will be greatly appreciated!

Hello, Eric. Plating on plastics is a well developed science, with the overwhelming majority of bright automotive grills and similar bright work being made of plastic. But a protocol for something so complex can't be transmitted in a paragraph or two. Try to get access to a copy of "Standards & Guidelines for Electroplated Plastics" [link is to book review and sourcing info on finishing.com], while also noting that proprietary chemistry is the way to go on this.
