RFQ: I am quoting some jobs for a customer and am trying to find a shop that does "Aluminum Vapor Deposit". Can Someone help me, I've never even heard of this.

RFQ: Hi,
I am looking for a business that can perform an Ion Vapor Deposited Aluminum Coating per MIL-C-83488.

Material to be treated -- 4340 Steel COND C SAE-AMSS5000
Heat Treat to 150 KSI UTS Rockwell C 34-38 per SAE-AMSH6875
Parts will be shot peened
**Apply Aluminum Coating per MIL-C-83488, Class 1, Type II. Do not plate holes**
25 pc 1.25" x 2" x 8.25"
25 pc 1.5" x 2" x 15.75"
25 pc 2" x 2" x 10.75"
Each Part will have 3 holes ranging from 3/8" to 15/16" and the holes are not to be plated.

RFQ: I am looking for vendors to bid on IVD aluminum coating per MIL-C-83488 (or equivalent - spec is actually updated, it is now MIL-DTL-3488, but I can get by with out certification to either of them). I have 234 Sleeve Bolts that are approximately 3/8" dia. x 7/8" long each. Thank you for your consideration.
