Powder coating in chrome
I have some gray 17 in wheels on my Honda Civic, they are starting to oxidize on the out side ring and they are starting to look really bad. The paint is wearing off and I want to have them refinished in chrome. Would powder coating in chrome get me a brand new look!

Hi Mike, The best thing to do is go to a powdercoater and check their color samples of chrome. Brighter chrome finishes have appeared on the market, so you might want to pick one out.

Hi, Mike. Today's metallic powder coatings are good. Even more reflective are today's chrome-look paints. But just so there isn't a misunderstanding by any readers, chrome is not a paint nor a powder: it is an electroplated metal and nothing is as good. Please see our Intro to Chrome Plating. Good luck.
