Seeking Supplier for Phenolic Resin

Q. I am looking for a current source for a Phenolic Resin conforming to Lockheed Aircraft specification LAC23-013 in California. I cannot find the specification or a QPL. Lockheed requires a user name and password to gain entry into their database.

Actually the contract is a government spares order. The product we are manufacturing is a duct of fiberglass impregnated with neoprene rubber. The design requires an abrasion resistant thermo setting resin coating on the outside per LAC 23-927 but does not provide a specification for the resin. Therefore, it appears we can use any compatible thermosetting resin that will adhere and bond to neoprene rubber. We have not built the product in about ten years, the experienced personnel are no longer with the organization, and the planning is insufficient to define the resin.

I have been lucky enough to solicit our Lockheed QAR to contact their material and process engineering. Apparently, LAC23-0013 does not exist. Our planning only references a 23-013 resin from Reichold, which may be a product code or catalog number rather than a Lockheed specification. We contacted Reichold and they are contacting their supplier (I think they said Roberts).

Do you have any recommendations as to a suitable resin? The operating environment is; -65 to +250 °F. The duct is fairly rigid, so there would be minimal flexing. The abrasion results from contact and vibration within the airframe.
