Need air knives for sheet galvanizing line
2003
Q. Dear gentlemen,
I require an air-jet wiping system in our sheet to sheet galvanizing line. We have made it possible to pass the strip without any chattering or vibration at both the ends and rest of the sheet while coming out from the bath. Please advise, if anyone knows about sheet galvanizing line with air wiping system (knife). Currently we are using the primitive roll coating system which apply large amount of zinc per ton of production (135 gsm).

A. Dear sir,
I suggest you use an air knife; that is equipment used after zinc bath that uses air pressure to wipe the excess coating off the surface of the strip.
You need a high power blower and to ducts with lips to blow air with high pressure.
