Repainting/Refinishing Refrigerators and Appliances Q&A
Q. Hi,
We just purchased a new home, the counters are brown and black granite, the oven, range and dishwasher are black. My refrigerator is screamingly white. Can it be painted and, if so, what do I use.
Thanks,

A. Hi.
Topic 21894 claims a successful procedure for painting of a refrigerator in a stainless steel color; topic 26739 reminds you to lightly sandpaper it for good adhesion. Good luck!
Ranges and ovens may be a different story due to high temperatures. Some areas on these are not actually painted, but porcelain enameled (which is more like a melted glass coating than paint). So it's probably better to paint dishwashers and refrigerators to match ovens and ranges than vice versa :-)
Luck & Regards,
