Chroming my parts myself

Q. I have a lot of parts I always need chromed. And I was wondering If I could make a dip tank or if I could coat my own chrome parts or how I could go about getting a machine where I could do it my self without sending parts off all the time.

THANK YOU FOR RESPONDING,

A. That subject has been beaten to death at this site. Go back to the search engine and you will be buried with more information than you ever believed was possible. The quick answer is

A. You could contact a tank plating supplier, but a good tank plating system is gonna run you from $15,000 to 30,000 to purchase one. Your best bet is to just send them to someone who does plating.

A. Hi Jerod. We have a Chrome Plating Tutorial on line now which will explain how chrome plating is done, and what issues it raises for plating at home. Good luck.
