Want low friction powder coating for wire shelving

RFQ: I'm searching for a low friction powder coating that can be applied to wire shelves that will allow consumer goods to slide at a minimal angle.

RFQ: Me too. Have you had any luck so far?

A. Hi. Nylon powder coatings and Teflon powder coatings are often applied to wire shelves and are smooth, slippery, and corrosion resistant. But they are also thick, and applied by fluidized bed rather than spray gun, so they will be more expensive than standard thermoset powder coatings. Good luck.

RFQ: I am also interested in a retail application. The finish must be both slick and hard. I have found that blister packed products can indent the finish if left in one spot over time. Need hard, low friction, and as in any retail application, economical. Thanks for any suggestions.

A. Hi

Zinc plating is pretty cheap, whereas nickel-black chrome plating is stylish and low friction. Both are metal, so they certainly won't dent. Good luck.
