Control/Recycling of Waste Water

2001

Hi,

I am running an electroplating plant on ABS plastic, with electroless copper as the pre-treatment. Most of my waste water after electroplating comes from :

1 Draining the water in which the items are stored in after electroless copper.

2 From the dragout of:

A. etching (chromic)
B. chrome plating

Could you please help me out to control or recycle the water, as this water has to be treated, which results in high costs.

Hi, Rahul. This is not the ultimate solution, but a good first step is to recover a good portion of the etch and chrome plating dragout with atmospheric evaporators and return it to the process tanks.
