Hi, Richard. This question has been answered several times if you can catch some luck with our search engine. But brass lacquer ⇦this on eBay or Amazon [affil links] or a clearcoat can be appropriate, and if you can precede it with a corrosion inhibitor for copper like benzotriazole ⇦this on eBay or Amazon [affil links] it should be good outdoors.
