Floating dross

2001

Dear Sir/s:

We operate a 3000kg electric heated kettle for hot dip galvanizing. We use only SHG ASTM B6-23 zinc.

Our problem is related to heavy dross protrusions on the galvanized part surface. Some parts are almost completely covered by dross protrusions.

It seems that all the dross it's spread through the bath.

We were used to remove the dross daily, but sometimes this in not possible, due to the dross is floating.

I'm waiting for some help.

Thank you,

SÌlvio JosÈ Grando
