Hello Rebecca!
ASTM A36 is a specification for Carbon Structural Steel written, published, and sold by the American Society for Testing and Materials. You can buy the spec at astm.org, but I would urge you to consider buying
ASTM Volume 01.04, which includes A36 and a whole lot more. Give their customer service people a call, and they'll give you good service.
Hey, Ted, maybe you can sell an ASTM collection? Something like
ASTM Volume 02.05 without the P/M stuff?
Good Luck!

Ed. note: Thanks for the suggestion, Lee, I know what you mean. While some platers might want the powder metallurgy stuff, most probably don't. We don't have enough pull to change this yet, but it's a good idea. Meanwhile you are right that the compilations of standards cost a small fraction of the cost of buying the standards individually.
