Mirrored aluminum
2001
I have been able to access some marine grade aluminium sheet cheap and will be using it to front some kitchen cupboards. I would like to polish it to a mirror finish. I have tried using wet & dry sandpaper (1200 then 2000 wet)followed with a rubbing compound ⇦ this on eBay or Amazon [affil links] for auto paints and then polish and wax.
The finish is better but not as highly polished as I would like. When finally finished it will be lacquer coated.
Can you suggest the appropriate materials to use ?
