Opaque Chrome Finish

We are plating spheres for microphones using as a first layer satin nickel and as a final layer we are using chrome. Problem: The chrome finish is opaque with no life. Thank you for your interest and hope to hear from you soon.

Best Regards

Satin Nickel by itself has little to nil corrosion protection and is generally plated over a thick bright layer of Nickel or acid copper, followed by chrome. If you skip the bright undercoat of either copper or Nickel it will tarnish immediately despite the chrome flash over it.
