Chrome Passivate Film Detection
We are a metal finishing operation in Ireland undertaking some aluminium chromate conversion coating work. Could anybody advise a method of chrome passivation detection and possibly measurement that's practical for everyday use on the production floor.

Bill,
I know of a simple detection method for chromate passivation but do not have the details with me now. I will reply later with the info you need.
Regards.

Bill,
I have returned as promised. Instead of detailing the Chromate detection method, I notice that this has already been given in letter #8243 by Jim Curco.
Good luck.
