Tungsten Carbide Dies

We are using tungsten carbide dies for blanking operation in our schuler coin blanking press. These dies cannot be used after a certain bore dia. has been reached. We are having several such unuseable dies with us. We would like to know whether these dies can be reused by silver brazing or by any other means?

You can convert the carbide dies to next useful size by grinding with diamond wheel. You can use brazing, mechanical clamping, shrink fitting methods to fix carbide into steel punch or die.
