Here is Help for Zinc Electroplating
2001
Setup: For the zinc test
- Attach a penny to the negative side of the battery
- Attach the positive end of the battery to a clip
- Attach another clip to a piece of zinc
- Add 600ml of vinegar ⇦in bulk on eBay or Amazon [affil links] to the tank
- Add 45ml of salt to the tank and stir the salt until it is dissolved
- Put the piece of zinc and the penny in the solution
- Connect the two clips together
- Watch
- Attach the positive end of the battery to a clip
Monitoring the zinc:
- Observe the penny every few minutes
- Do that for 3 hours
To take out the Zinc:
- First you must wear latex or protective gloves
- Then you have to disconnect the wires from the battery
- Finally you, by avoiding touching the water pull out the wires from inside the tank
- Then you have to disconnect the wires from the battery
