Lacquering Brass?
My husband recently purchased an antique ships telegraph. It has been a long difficult process of polishing the brass. He wonders if it is possible to spray with a lacquer to prevent constant polishing. Is this possible?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Dear Pamela,
If you go down to your local hardware store, they might have lacquer in an aerosol spray can. Otherwise, send me an email and I'll tell you where to get some.

Hi Pamela,
Your ships telegraph sounds beautiful. An alternative to lacquer is Everbrite. It has some advantages, it will never discolor like lacquers and is very easy to apply. It is available in aerosol cans or as a wipe on product and can be purchased directly from the manufacturer.
