Corrosion in Aluminium Alloys 3003 and 3103
Q. Have the aluminium alloys 3003 and 3103 the same behaviour in water corrosion attack? We have selected alloy 3103 to jacket insulation instead of the alloy 3003, suggested by our Client: this alloy 3103 has been exposed to rain during the open storage, before application and the reaction has been a wide phenomena of oxidation; now we are trying to understand if even alloy 3003 could have the same behaviour if badly exposed to water.
Thanks.
