Need Thum Cell Voltage
What is the best voltage to run a Thum Cell and what is the reasonable maximum current density of the cathode?

Thum Cells are usually run at voltages from 3 volts to 4.4volts. I've found 3 volts works well. Current density - amps per sq. foot (anode) 50 to 60. If tartaric acid ⇦ this on eBay or Amazon [affil links] is needed to improve the density of the Ag crystals, use sparingly - 1/4 teaspoon per cell at a time, give it a day or two before adding more. If too much tartaric acid ⇦ this on eBay or Amazon [affil links] is added, the silver will be like concrete on your cathode.
Good luck & Best regards,
