Hard Chrome Process/Facilities.

I need to know which is the "hard chrome" process and facilities, specially for cylinder liners applications. Which are the pre - treatments and post - treatments required? Thanks!

Hello Daniel,

I suggest you to visit a hard chrome plating company, such as Fa. Schnarr, Waiblingen or Gebr. Schoch Stuttgart (Fellbach?)

An overview over the plating technology you get by reading the book "Die galvanische Verchromung" (Eugen G. Leuze Verlag, Saulgau.

Dear Daniel,

A good introduction to hard chrome is the relevant article in ASM's Metals Handbook Vol.5, "Plating and Electropolishing" (The Metals Bible as I say it)

Cheers
