Dull Finish on SST
I AM LOOKING FOR A PROCESS TO CHANGE THE SURFACE FINISH OF A 302 SST .010 THK ETCHED PART FROM A SOME WHAT SHINNY FINISH TO A DULL MATTE NON-REFLECTIVE FINISH THAT IS WHITE TO LIGHT GRAY IN COLOR.

Henry,
you apparently have a very thin delicate part; therefore, if you want to process part mechanically, great care must be taken with either barrel tumbling or vibratory deburring equipment. Use a dry organic abrasive mix compound only and process as follows: about 10 - 15 RPM for barrel or minimum amplitude on vibratory equipment.
