Corrosion resistant Al alloy + coating
What is the best combination of an Al die cast alloy and a coating for corrosion resistance? The part will be finished by powder coating, but occasionally might be exposed to scratches. The corrosion test is a 30-day salt fog test with temperature cycling between 40 and 140 degrees F.

hi tomasz
we make some parts from cast al (lm25). we then spray on kal-gard [Anza, Cal.] FA (or guncoat as it is known) and bake at 200 °C for 1 hour). this finish is much more durable than powder coating
