Cashew paste and cadmium plate

Q. Hello Ted, and the gang.
Does anyone have any experience of cashew sealing paste reacting with cadmium plating during curing and/or storage of the parts after the paste has cured?
Thanks and best regards,

A. Hi Mark,

I understand that cashew paste adhesives have some advantages over competitive products, but I have zero experience with it. Hopefully a reader will have something to tell us.

I know that nothing which will ever touch food should ever touch cadmium though. What does cadmium plating have to do with it? Can I assume you are making some cadmium plated something or other which is assembled by gluing with this cashew sealing paste, or has some sort of gaps sealed with it?

Luck & Regards,

Q. Hi Ted,
I should have explained better.
We are seeing bloom on the exposed cadmium plated and Hex chrome passivated portions after the assemblies are put together, using the cashew paste in threads.
