Sludge from ETP plant

Q. Hi,
I am running a acidic electroplating plant where I take all the waters which are used as rinse to my etp plant, where I measure the pH which comes around 1.0.
Then I add limestone powder to it to increase the ph uptown 7.5-8 pH.
Then I add ferric alum into it to decrease the pH by 1.
After that I add polyelectrolyte to it. (around 1800 ml)
Then transfer it into big press filter.
In all this process I take 11,250 litres of water which generates around 1000 kg of sludge.

I want to know what should I do with that sludge as per norms and how can I increase the efficiency of the process.
Also, is there any process that i might be missing.
Also, what can I do to generate less sludge?

Thanks in advance.
