Q. Hello, I have 420 stainless steel drive rollers, which I subject to heat treatment. These return to the process buckled so they must be straightened with heat where they burn and black spots remain. Afterwards we have to brush them mechanically to return their natural color. My question is if there is any chemical solution that allows me to avoid brushing. I tried HNO3 and HF and they blackened even more and the burnt stain did not disappear. I thank you in advance for your advice. Sincerely Juan
