Q. Hello Gents,
We will have galvanization small line, which will be mainly for scaffolding tubes. it will not be massive galvanizing plant.

Question is, once the zinc kettle is in operation, after some galvanization, is it possible to stop for some period of time and start again with same chemical?

I mean, 1 week galvanization and 3 week off. Is it possible to use all chemicals again?

A. Hi Murat.
I don't know much about galvanizing, but I think that this will be totally impractical. The chemicals may well be okay, but you probably won't be able to afford to keep the zinc hot and unused for 3 weeks each month or to reheat it every month for one week's work.
Luck & Regards,

A. Ted, has answered this already, but as a experienced galvanizer I just want to back up that answer. It is quite impractical.
It might be like saying I want to have a large truck but use only 1 week out of 4 weeks, but leave the engine running all the time.
You can do it, but the cost would be prohibitive.
If you cannot use a galvanizing line at least 5 days a week, 8 hours a day then it will be uneconomic.
Better still 24 hours x 5 days, and it might make money.

Your plan will make the cost of the scaffold tubes so high that it will be an uneconomic proposition.

A. Dear Murat.
As mentioned by you ,you dont have enough production to run your Galvanizing Plant 25 days on regular basis.
It's better to run Plant for 24x7 as your operating cost will reduce and life of Kettle will be more effective.

If you provide us your existing size of Galvanizing Plant and Size of your Materials which you are galvanizing and your target production per day or week or month, we can suggest some better option.
