Anodize Aluminum Nickel Bronze?
Q. I have a "Button" that is currently made from Aluminum Nickel Bronze (UNS C63000). The button slides in an 6061-T6 Aluminum part. Is it possible to color anodize Aluminum Nickel Bronze?

A. Hi J. As I understand it, aluminum nickel bronze is roughly 80% copper. Anodizing would not be possible. However, I think you might be able to successfully blacken it.
Alternately, you could probably make the button from hard anodized aluminum and color anodize it.
Luck & Regards,
