Zirconium Coating Daimler Standard for Zirconium Coating alternative to Phosphating

Q. Hello, I am an intern, at my company, zirconium oxide is being developed in the existing line. I want to ask, is there a standard coating weight for Daimler (DBL) or other standard coating weights?

Then, apart from coating weight, what are the other standards in conversion coating?

A. Hi Ahmad. There are many Daimler DBL standards and unfortunately I don't know whether you are talking about phosphatizing of steel, or conversion coating of aluminum, or topcoating of zinc or zinc alloy plating. You would need to give us a specific spec like DBL 'xxxx' or tell us what process your "existing line" is used for.

Luck & Regards,

Q. My project is to change the process from phosphatizing of carbon steel to zirconium coating, but I can't find a Daimler standard for zirconium coating steel.
