Help with a knife blade turned black
Q.
Hello Everyone,
Maybe someone can give advise...
I soldered a sterling silver handle to a metal blade and then put it into the pickle bath I always use for silver. When I removed it the blade was completely BLACK ! I know there can be a reaction between the pickle and metal and sometimes will turn the silver pinkish but I never saw black. I can't seem to get it shiny again even with sanding or buffing! Does anyone have any advice?
Thanks
