Chrome Plating Steel in a Bath Normally Used for Plating Copper

Q. Can I do MS or SS Roller chrome plating in a tank where I do normally copper rolls? What is the risk ?

A. Hi Kaushik. I do not anticipate any problem with this. However, it would be best to specify what kind of chrome plating solution you are using Sergeant (sulphate catalyst only), fluoride or mixed catalyst (SRHS for example) or MSA-based catalyst (HEEF-25 for example) because there are things you can and can't do with each and despite my not anticipating a problem other readers might know better :-)

Luck & Regards,
