How to prevent fungus on plastic chromed surface in production.

Q. How to prevent fungus from growing on plastic chromed parts.
We are doing copper, nickel, chrome plastic plating.
We send our parts by sea to our customer and need 45 days to reach our customer.By the time my customer receive, most of the parts already have fungus. Can anybody help on this issue?

A. Hi Eimiin. Is there any bare plastic involved? Are you sure the fungus is able to grow on the nickel-chrome plated surface as opposed to the packaging? I personally haven't heard of fungus growing on a nickel-chrome surface. Do you do any spray or post-treatment of anything onto the surface of the chrome?

Luck & Regards,
