Pitting in Hysol 9394/C-2 used for coating

Q. My company uses Hysol 9394/C-2 as a coating to restore dimensionally discrepant components. We have used this product for over 10 years with very few problems. For the last 6 months we've seen a surprisingly surge in pitting in the coating causing many parts to be reworked.

We initially thought it to be in the machine shop where the parts are machined afterwards. After an audit of our machining process, we have ruled this out as the problem.

Our Hysol applicator feels the mixture seems thicker and more difficult to spread. We contacted Henkel (the manufacturer of Hysol) without making progress.

Has anyone else experienced this problem? If so, what was your solution?

Are there similar products?
