Stamp-able coating for aluminum needed

Q. I need to put a finish or coating on .5 mm thick aluminum coils (coils will end up slitted down to about 2" wide ribbons), which will then be stamped into a convoluted shape. The coating is needed to prevent the aluminum from contacting human skin. The coated layer must be able to withstand the stamping process without cracking and with minimal disruption of heat transfer through the surface. Thanks for your help!

A. Hi Ted. I think most quality non-epoxy e-coatings and thermoset powder coatings should be able to withstand quite a bit of forming as long as the pretreatment is right. Hopefully another reader can offer most detail.

Q. Thanks for your reply. I am concerned about getting a small heat transfer effect through this layer. I just heard about continuous, coil-to-coil electroplating with tin. Does that sound good for this application?
Thanks.
