Q. We Mi-tique® copper light fixtures so customers don't have to wait for it to happen naturally. Problem is every once in a great while the fixture will weather to a rust/orange. Why would this happen?

A. Not knowing anything about this product or the antiquing material, I would guess that it was copper plated steel with not enough plate so you are seeing red rust.

Since the solution is proprietary, the only source of information would be the chemical OEM
