Recommended Steel Finish for Outdoor Waterslide
January 7, 2015
Q. Wondering if you could provide some suggestions of what steel grade/finish should be considered for an outdoor waterside and steel access structure adjacent to it. With chlorinated water, I'd think this application is quite different than a slide structure in a contained building. Any counsel would be appreciated.

A. With chlorinated water, it should be no less than 316 stainless steel. The more polished/smooth the surface is, the better. (Within reason, you may decide on a matte finish rather than a reflective one.)
