Bright Dip for Zinc-Nickel Alloy to thin down the plating
April 9, 2014
Q. Is there a solution for bright dipping zinc-nickel plated parts (steel base metal) to reduce their thickness? After the bright dip, we would apply a conversion coating (trivalent chromate coating).
We have a tight tolerance range and cannot hold the tolerances prior to plating. We used to do this with cadmium using chromic acid.
