How to do satin finish on a copper sink

February 26, 2014

Q. I am having problems with uniformity on applying a satin finish on a copper sink

Ronald Phipps

A. Uniformity is going to be difficult to achieve using also any mechanical abrasive system because of the shape of the sinks. If your sink only needs the satin appearance and not additional work, you may want to consider using non-woven pads, but the trick is to apply pressure in a uniform pattern. In lieu of that a better way to achieve a frosted satin finish is to use a very fine glass bead blasting system.
