Reaction between tin and nitric acid
February 26, 2014
Q. Hi,
I would like to know the interaction of pure tin and concentrated nitric acid. I have a decent knowledge of metallurgy. But I am not that familiar with chemistry. Can you advise me.

Ed. note: In private communication, Ray revealed that he was seeing some white precipitate form when dissolving pure tin in pure nitric acid.
