Copper oxide deposition
August 25, 2013
Q. I am a Post graduate student of Applied Physics. And I am trying to form thin film of Copper oxide for my solar cell design project (Copper oxide band gap modification by doping using other metal oxides). And from literature I came to know, electroplating is the best way to achieve it, though I had very little experience on it. I used CuSO4 - 150 gpl H2SO4 - 25 gpl bath for the same with 2 Adm-2 (from the literature I had taken this composition) using Copper plates. But on EDAX analysis of the anodes shows a very feeble amount of copper oxide was deposited. Kindly provide a suggestion to form Copper oxide coating in the anode by the electrodeposition process.
Thank you
