ASTM heat treatment conditions vs. European Norm conditions
March 11, 2013
Q.
Hello, All.
I have a question about heat treatment conditions.
As I understand, we have conditions in ASTM standards and others in EN standards.
ASTM has the following conditions :
H900
H925
H1025
H1075
H1100
H1150
H1150-M
EN ( European Norms) have the following:
P1070
P960
P930
P800
I am looking for information to know if they are equivalent.
1.- If they are equivalent, does someone know what is the correct link between
ASTM conditions and EN ?
2.- Is Age hardening in ASTM = Precipitation hardening in EN?
I mean, have they the same meaning?
Hope someone knows and can explain.
Thank you.
