Electropolishing Recessed Areas

most of my experience in electropolishing has been on machined parts with relatively simple shapes. we have an opportunity to get some sheetmetal work. there will be shapes with deep recesses, and most likely some racking difficulties. where can I get help on rack design, and some suggestions on polishing in those low current density areas? this will be high volume work.

Ken:

I would be happy to help you design racks for your sheet metal parts. Please fax me drawings or email photos of the parts.

Ken:

Metal Coating Process Corporation can furnish several levels of assistance on your racks:

1. We can design and build the racks based on blueprints of your parts.

2. We can provide an on-site consulting service to show you how to rack the parts for electropolishing.

3. We offer a periodic one-day seminar on the principles of rack design.

We are listed in the Suppliers Directory on finishing.com, and there is a link to our own web site.
