Different pH-level solutions effects on metal

Q. Hello everyone! I am currently doing a science project on: is there a difference between different pH level solutions effects on silver and bronze, and which level of pH affects the metals the most? Can you help or tell where I can find some research paper worthy items. :) P.S.: I am in 8th grade.

A. Sophie,
You might want to look up some "chemical compatibility" charts. Most materials manufacturers provide these as a guide to what sort of chemicals will or won't rapidly damage the material, or vice versa, what sort of materials will or won't be rapidly damaged by a certain chemical. I expect you should be able to find some charts for common metals and alloys with Google rather easily. You should also look up the term "noble metal".

If this is a science project, consider adding a few more metals or alloys to your list.
